The recent report in the ‘Jewish News’ has shocked and horrified the members and officers of Walsall South Constituency Labour Party.

Although it is important to allow the investigation to go ahead without interference if proven to be accurate the views expressed by the member are totally unrepresentative of the Labour Party in Walsall South and are unreservedly condemned by me and Labour members in Walsall South.

There is no room at all for Anti Semitism, Racism, Islamophobia and all forms of hatred. We do not and will not tolerate such disgusting views.

The member attended the Labour Conference in an individual capacity and was NOT a representative of Walsall South CLP. Walsall South CLP did not send a delegate to this year’s conference and we are horrified that the name of our CLP has been used.

Walsall South CLP is open to all members and supporters irrespective of their religious background. Indeed we are proud that we are one of the most diverse CLP’s and this diversity is our strength. Our Jewish community are and will always be welcome at our CLP.
