The details of Councillor Sarohi’s funeral are as follows:

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday 3 August 2021.

The cortege will pass the Council House in Lichfield Street, Walsall at approximately 10.15 -10.25 am and then onto the Community Centre, Wellington Street, Walsall WS2 9QR next to the Guru Nanak Gurdwara Temple.  There will be a gathering at the Community Centre from 10.45-11.45 am.  The cremation will take place at Sandwell Valley Crematorium, Newton Road, West Bromwich, B71 3SX at 12.15 pm.

Friends, Labour Party Members, colleagues and the community are welcome to attend any part of the funeral either to stand outside the Council House and pay their respects between 10.15 – 10.25 am, at the Community Centre from 10.45 am, at the Sandwell Valley Crematorium at 12:15 pm or join the family at the Gurdwara on Wellington Street from 1.30 pm onwards.

It has been requested that there are family flowers only however, the family are currently considering charitable donations in Memory of Councillor Sarohi and further details of this will be available once confirmed by the family.

A Book of Condolence will be available at the Community Centre in Wellington Street on the day of the funeral for anyone who wishes to leave a message for the family. However, if you are unable to attend to sign the book, you may wish to email your message to Lucy Gould who will collate all of the messages and pass them onto Councillor Sarohi’s family. Lucy’s email address is Lucy.Gould@walsall.gov.uk
